Guide to Owning a Rabbit (Re Series)
Published in Paperback by TFH Publications (December, 1997)
Author: Anne Lindsay
Average review score:

A spotty account of bunny basics
I was hoping to find more info on litter training, behavior, and other important house rabbit topics, but this title doesn't help much. I was also hoping for better coverage of common diseases, such as wool block, gi stasis, etc. It seems more focused on those who want to relegate the rabbit to the backyard, not to the modern rabbit owner.

I found Marinell Harriman's "House Rabbit Handbook" to be much more useful.

Mr. McMouse
Published in Hardcover by Knopf (September, 1992)
Author: Leo Lionni
Average review score:

I don't get it.
I hadn't met a book by Leo Lionni I didn't like until now. A country mouse turns into a "strange creature dressed in black" and the reader is left to wonder why. I have a college degree and I consider myself a pretty intelligent person, but I could not figure out why the mouse changed and what the change had to do with the rest of the story. This was a very disconnected story, and I just didn't get it. Maybe I'm not as bright as I thought. Fortunately, I didn't buy it. Check it out first, and if you figure it out, please write about it.

Por Que?
Published in Paperback by North South Books (October, 1998)
Author: Nikolai Popov

Por Que
As an educator who purchased the book for my classroom library, I was disappointed in what I saw. The book contains violent acts of animals shooting other animals with guns to the point where everything was destroyed. I don't feel the book is appropriate for children.

Stuart and the Stouts
Published in Paperback by HarperFestival (05 June, 2001)
Author: Kama Einhorn
Average review score:

glossy advertisement
This staple bound bit of fluff is more akin to the junk mail I get than a book. If you were expecting a scratch and sniff book, forget it. There is no scratch and sniff. Maybe Amazon messed up and gave the wrong title to this book because "a scratch and sniff adventure" is not in the book.
